Housing Crisis for Car Dwellers

June 25th, 2008 by Biscuit

A YOUNG Tasmanian family is living in conditions the RSPCA has deemed not fit for dogs.

For five months a family have been living in a broken down car in Devonport. The dogs were seized by the RSPCA, who have deemed the conditions unfit for the animals to live.

News.com would have us read this and weep with pity for this family who have hit hard times, however after reading the story from several sources, one would realise that as usual, this is self perpetuated misery. The reason the RSPCA step in and take the dogs, is because they don’t have a choice in the matter. They need to be protected from people this stupid.

The reason that they lost the taxpayer funded home, is because they left the keys to the house with a ‘trusted friend’, who trashed the house, causing $8500 damage, and then handed the keys in. The family then stayed on the streets of Melboure for 12 months before heading back to Devonport. [Read more →]

What a Riot of a Time….

February 12th, 2008 by Half-Pint

The events of Australia Day 2008 highlighted (and in some ways brought to a head) the many nanga-related social problems that have plagued the border cities of Albury and Wodonga for decades.

After the usual “family day” celebrations held at Noreuil Park (on the Albury side of the river) the gathering erupted into an alcohol-fuelled riot involving three hundred nangas. It took twenty police officers (being most of the on-duty officers from both Albury and Wodonga stations) plus some security guards, four hours to subdue the mob.

Biblical Event?

January 20th, 2008 by Biscuit

Seems more wrongdoers were washed away by a flood, albeit on a much smaller scale than in the biblical tale of Noah’s Ark. A trio of oxygen thieves have been caught in floodwaters in a storm water drain in Sydney while vandalizing the drains with graffiti. These people were aged between 21 and 27, which is well and truly old enough to know better, and know the risks of being in a storm water drain.

Unfortunately one has survived, however 2 of them were drowned. Of course this miracle has come at a price to the taxpayer, as everything does.

sparking a search by police on foot, PolAir and the Westpac rescue helicopter.

During the search it doesn’t appear that it was known that they were vandals, although I doubt that would have made a difference. I don’t suppose the survivor or the families of the recently ‘Darwin award’ contenders will be billed for the huge expense of the search and rescue attempt.

As asked by a bystander:

The question is what are they doing here in the first place?

I wonder if they sprayed ‘arrrrgggghhhhh’ as they were washed away…

The Ghetto of Albury

January 17th, 2008 by Biscuit

Glenroy has always been Albury’s ghetto, but now residents have apparently had enough. Residents have approached the local MP, Greg Aplin, in order to overcome the situation, and hopefully have troublemakers evicted. Greg stated:

These juveniles are not learning respect, they’re not learning acceptable behavior and they will be embarking on a cycle, unfortunately, of a criminal lifestyle.

This is what happens when ferals go unpunished because they are ‘too young’ or they’ve only broken the law 7 times…

I’m sure if enough pressure is placed in the right places, the ferals will be evicted, however I don’t doubt that they will simply be moved into another area controlled by the department of housing, thus moving the problem to another community. I suppose this buys the department time, while the new area put up with the issues, get the shits with the issues, and then complain very loudly about the issues.

I don’t doubt that some of the complainants are breeders etc, but with the whole ‘integrate them into society’ bullshit that seems to be the nations solution to ferals, the noise, violence and language etc will be spilling out to the areas surrounding Glenroy disrupting home owners and rate payers as well.

The police have suggested :

We try and keep our patrols in that area as consistent as we can.

Members of the public have just got to contact us if they have any problems or issues related to any crime.

From previous reports in the border mail, the police are so under resourced, that it could take an hour or so before they actually get there.

Glenroy has been a ghetto for years. Why would it change now?

Tight squeeze in a caravan

December 23rd, 2007 by Biscuit

Poor Karron and five (of her seven) children are crammed into a tiny caravan. Ooh. Deja vu. Another family with more kids than they have room for. Yet surprisingly (or not) that didn’t stop her from having the latest offspring. In the van for 4 months, with a 5 month old baby sleeping in its bouncer.

Because I’ve got so many kids, no one will help me out — not even private housing

What is it with these people? They think that because they can spit out a few kids, they are instantly entitled to a nice 6 bedroom house? Yet again! If you can’t afford a house for them, stop having more! I don’t doubt the reason no one will help her out is because of the size house she requires, yet can’t afford.

Apparently she’s had to ‘uproot’ three times in three years. Well it was obviously not too stressful because she was still able to ‘root’ during that three year period in order to spit out the last one at least.

I hope that unless she gets a job, she is stuck there for a few years. Maybe then the kids will learn that to have a house, one needs to earn a living, and if one can’t do that, one shouldn’t try to fit so many kids into what they can’t afford. Of course, now that this has made the news, no doubt some bleeding heart will offer her a house at a rent she can afford, and the kids will instead learn that the louder they complain, the better life will be, regardless of what they’ve done to cause the situation in the first place.

No Great Loss to Society

November 25th, 2007 by Biscuit

A teenager on suspended provisional license died when the car he was driving (wtf?) crashed into a tree during a police pursuit in Albury. He was seen to be driving erratically and police in a marked police car attempted to pull him over. He sped off.

His family say the high speed chase, and consequently the death of the young fella, was unnecessary. They say his fear of returning to jail forced him to flee.

They’re right. It was unnecessary. If the stupid turd had not been driving erratically, or better yet, seeings he was unlicensed, not been driving at all, there would have been no chase. If he’d pulled over, there would have been no chase. The family are after an inquiry and ‘justice’ regarding the police actions. There is no inquiry required. The police tried to pull over someone who posed a danger to other motorists. That someone chose not to comply with the law. He sealed his own fate. Perhaps his family and friends should take some responsibility, but that’s just not how nangas think is it.

Statements from friends and family include:

(he was) a good kid who had a little trouble with police.

It just isn’t right, he was just out here doing what we always do, just being kids.

He’d been out of jail for driving offenses for less than three weeks! A good kid ? I think not. Sounds to me like the crash has probably saved the community from his complete disregard for the law. Obviously his two month stint for dangerous driving has done nothing to rehabilitate him.

I don’t mean to sound old, but when we were kids, at 3:45am, we weren’t driving around like idiots with a car full of mates. And if we’d had so much as a speeding fine, we were driving carefully for a long time, rather than trying to find more trouble.

Fortunately most of these ferals aren’t too bright, but they still seem to be breeding faster than wiping themselves off the face of the earth.

More Baby Bonus

September 20th, 2007 by Biscuit

Another bloody genius. Family First senator, Steve Fielding, has proposed a new baby bonus bonus. His suggestion is a $10,000 bumper handout for the third child. The senator has dismissed concerns regarding people having kids for the cash, saying:

I don’t believe that is what is happening on the whole. For sure it is probably happening in small numbers but really when we start saying that about people, then I think we have a poorer Australia

He also made comments regarding our need for a new generation of taxpayers:

We need to have kids. If we don’t have kids then when we are all old we have no-one paying taxes to support us

If we want to encourage taxpayers to procreate, how about changing this ‘bonus’ to a ‘tax refund’ instead? Give it to working families. This way those who work for a living and bring up children with the basic values of ‘You want something, you earn it’ rather than ‘you want something you are entitled to a handout’.

Surely there is enough strain on the department of public housing as it is without giving more incentive for bigger unemployed families. How many stories have we seen regarding too many kids, and complaints about the house being to small for the family?

The government should be encouraging working people to have kids, while at the same time encouraging the unemployed to get a job which would then entitle them to these additional benefits.

There should be a limit on the number of children should be having, or at least receiving benefits for. We are told of the strain on the environment, which will only be made worse by overcrowding the country with the unemployable scum being encouraged by these ridiculous schemes.

I can just picture the breeders now. Rubbing their hands together at the thought of a lump sum of money they should not normally hold in their entire lives

Gold Class Delivery Service for Addicts

May 6th, 2007 by Biscuit

Another crisis averted! Poor junkies had to resort to used syringes if they couldn’t get to a needle exchange. Well fret no more. These poor souls can now have fresh new syringes delivered, free of charge, in a flash!

Needles will be delivered to those requesting them faster than one can get a pizza if you live in Melbourne and surrounding suburbs. Also if you’re not sure if you’re injecting these ILLEGAL drugs correctly, advice will be provided. Also if you’re a bit short of cash, cash is paid for completing a survey on receipt of your new syringe.

What is going on here? A government funded agency is providing drug related paraphernalia. Why is there no police escort provided to arrest these people? Why are we providing these syringes while aged care and emergency services are suffering? This service doesn’t even try to get the users off the drugs. All it is doing is encouraging them.

So what if I fancy more drinks and I’ve already had a few? I can’t drive so will there be a number I can call to have more delivered?

Another Bad Dad

April 28th, 2007 by Biscuit

This poor chap has been violated. Police raided his home and found a crossbow, nunchakas, stolen equipment including an NEC data projector, TV, video, digital cameras, cannabis and amphetamines.

So he has been convicted of weapons offences, drug offences, and stolen goods offences. And the sentence? A 12 month bond. Twelve whole months where he is now expected to obey the law. A whole twelve months. What if he can’t manage it? I suppose a further few months on top might do the trick…

The convicted law breaker described the experience of the raid as a ‘traumatic intrusion on his life’. WTF ?

Well sorry Kyle. Perhaps if you hadn’t flogged all that stuff, got into drugs, and obtained banned weapons, maybe police would have no reason to raid ‘your’ house. Purely speculation here, but is it even your house? Isn’t that a department of housing estate? What about the ‘traumatic intrusion’ felt by the victims of your crimes? Hours of work for businesses securing equipment? Police having to come into their place of business or home to fingerprint in order to catch you?

What really gets to me in all this is the insistence of media to distinguish this man as a ‘Father’. So what? That makes no difference. He did the crime. His kids would be better off without him. Why does the fact that this ‘welfare recipient’ is caring for three children have ANY bearing on the case?

Just goes to prove, criminals don’t give a stuff about the victims of their crimes. The only person that matters is themselves.
