Apparently prisoners are rewarded for ‘good behaviour’ while in detention. Trips to the snow, deep sea fishing, ten pin bowling, horse riding, sailing etc.
This has got to be a joke. I haven’t had time or money to do those things in the past few years. I’m too busy working to earn a living and be a generally decent human being.
Apparently it costs us, the taxpayers, 160K every year to hold these ‘juveniles’ at the Malmsbury detention centre. Strange. It doesn’t cost 160K to keep me and my family every year, but the government doesn’t reward me for my efforts by giving me holiday money.
These thugs, in for stabbings, and other violent crimes, camped metres from a group of unsuspecting females, wandered freely about between the ski shop and their bus, with school children metres away. They had undergone ‘comprehensive risk assessments’ . The fact that one of these crims, while on bail for his stabbing offence, assisted in the stabbing of another man over a bottle of fish sauce, doesn’t come into it. He underwent a ‘comprehensive risk assessment’ so he must be fine now. Suddenly it occured to him that stabbing people was wrong, so he’s perfectly safe to let wander around.
How about we approach the government for 10k a year for not stabbing anyone… I think I could manage that most years..
